Hello! I live in the beautiful Willamette Valley with my daughter and our little "zoo" that includes three dogs -- Abby the Border Collie, Rosie the Cairn Terrier and Nui the Bull Terrier -- plus one chicken, a rabbit, and a school of fish! I spent seven months in 2015 training with Dogsafe Creator, Michelle Sevigny to become the first Dogsafe Authorized Instructor in Oregon, and one of a handful in the entire United States. It was an excellent learning experience surpassed only by being able to share this information with my students here in Oregon. Teaching Canine First Aid is really a dream come true because it brings together my love of both people and dogs. I have worked as a Mental Health Therapist since receiving my Masters Degree in Counseling from Oregon State University in 1992 and I have also been involved with animals in a variety of ways for most of my life, most recently Life Coaching for people and their companion animals. I LOVE teaching Dogsafe Canine First Aid because the information is very practical and accessible- It feels really good to empower people with the tools they need to help their dogs in an emergency before they can get to a veterinarian for care. We have even saved our own dog's lives- twice! |
Happiness is a warm puppy.
